The objective is always to be able to produce a sensation of life and timelessness. I hope you will be able to recognize the times from the subjects, characters or fashion, but not from the painterly qualities.

The magic of painting happens where a strong sensation of something which is alive meets a strong sensation of the abstraction that only paint application allows. No art trend or critique can take away the joy of taking dirt mixed with linseed oil, which is oil paint, or any other painterly medium, manipulate it into something that feels extremely alive.

If life occurs somewhere between order and chaos, a truly life like representation in painting occurs from the action of both of these contradicting extremities. More broadly speaking, the act of painting is made of opposites, it cannot be just one directional, if you darken you need to lighten, if you define you need to obscure, if you create motion you need to create stealth and so on... Being constantly present in all of those oppositions demand a certain level of inner discipline and the willingness to explore beyond one's self tendencies, in order to continually research and broaden the endless range of possibilities. To be able to hold oneself as well as to be able to release. Opposite extremities that constantly broaden the distance between each other are the foundation of the research and the main aspiration in my prosses that produces the end results. It exists not only in the execution prosses itself but also in the tension between the choice of esthetics and the choice of subjects. Modernity shown through the esthetics of Old Master painters, which characterizes in my opinion in the intimate relationship between the painter, painting and viewer. With the sincerest effort to communicate and share the sensations of existing. trying to bring about a common denominator of what it means to exist, can of course be taken from a range of personal and social topics.

The use of different mediums is also there as a tool of exploration into broadening oneself, as each one acts as a mirror to our different sides of personality, each medium demands from us an inner shift to be able to extract the maximum from what that medium is willing to offer us.
